Terence B. McGhee, MD received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. He went on to serve his internship in Internal Medicine and his residency in Neurology at the North Carolina Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem NC, and was appointed Chief Resident of Neurology at the Wake Forest School of Medicine. In 1982 he received his certification in Neurology from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Dr. McGhee has practiced general neurology in Asheville since 1980. In 2004 he joined Carolina Hand and Sports Medicine and specialized in neurology of the upper limb and neck, with expertise in electrical testing of the nerves in the arms and legs (EMG/PNCV).
Dr. McGhee’s interests include medical treatment of cervical radiculopathy, peripheral entrapment neuropathies, and general peripheral neuropathies. He specializes in botulinum toxin (Botox) treatment for upper extremity muscle spasm.
