Carolina Hand and Sports Medicine surgeon Jesse L. West IV, MD successfully completed the first outpatient shoulder replacement at the Asheville Surgery Center in January of this year. Dr. West has since performed numerous successful outpatient shoulder replacements including hemi-arthroplasty, total shoulder arthroplasty, and humeral resurfacing. All of these patients went home comfortable the day of surgery.
